Feature Timber.
Feature timber is a specialty timber product that has a dressed surface. It is graded principally for appearance, although its utility value can have a strength requirement. Feature is defined by characteristics such as colour, knots, burls, veins, pockets, figure, growth rings, wood grain and other markings that will differ between pieces and species, and it is this natural variation, the beautiful imperfections you don’t get in mainstream timber products, that provides the basis for feature timber and the inspiration for us at All Class Timbers; including floor boards, cladding, posts, beams and stair treads, but it also includes pieces such as slabs, burls and cross-sections.
